How we approach curtain rod installation
Curtain rods take a surprising amount of force every time a curtain is pulled, and plastic anchors in drywall often work loose. Most Central Florida window openings are framed in concrete block, so we anchor brackets into the block header for a rod that never sags.
For a taller, wider look, we mount rods 4–6 inches above the window frame (or closer to the ceiling) and extend them 8–12 inches past each side, so curtains stack off the glass.
We level every rod in a room to the same line, even when windows are slightly different heights, and can also install sheer and blackout double rods, sliding-door rods and ceiling tracks.
